I had a spectacular morning with a bunch of kids (Grade 4th and 5th), with whom I had an interactive Science session. I was on the giving end, but I realised I was also on the receiving end. You have to reframe your thoughts and answer to the young minds in a careful way.
I observed some key points and reflected them in myself. 5 in, 5 out! What we often forget and leave behind as we grow up.
1. We forget to be happy.
2. We forget to ask questions.
3. We forget to be excited about so many things around us.
4. We forget to value friendships.
5. We forget to be focused.
And here's a list of what we gain:
1. Ego and thinking why me first?
2. Self-centeredness, but also 'me' syndrome!
3. Anger of not being able to control various emotions.
4. Cribbing of situations and people.
5. Judging people way too much.
So, what's the escape route then? Revisiting your childhood. Revisiting your old school. Discussing about yourself with family and friends of how you used to be when you were a kid. I am sure you will get a boost knowing about you, which you already know but probably have foregone! Or another cool way is, to meet young bunch of fellows who make you remember your past.
Basically, I experienced another kind of high today and wish to keep it high, sans the booze!
